Equimax^® Oral Paste can be used for the treatment and control of adult and immature gastrointestinal roundworms, lungworms, bots and tapeworms of horses in a single dose. It is effective against large and small strongyles, hairworms, pinworms, ascarids, intestinal threadworms, large-mouth stomach worms, neck threadworms, lungworms and stomach bots and controls three different species of tapeworm. It is safe for use in horses of all ages, although it should not be given to foals younger than six months of age.

Equimax^® contains two active ingredients: Ivermectin and Praziquantel.

Ivermectin is a broad-spectrum antiparasitic drug that works by targeting the nervous system of parasites, causing paralysis and death. It is effective against many types of parasites, including strongyles, roundworms, and lungworms.

Praziquantel is another antiparasitic drug that is effective against tapeworms. It works by disrupting the tapeworm's ability to absorb nutrients, leading to its death.
