Advocate 80 Spot-on Solution for Large Cats  is a broad spectrum combined flea and worm treatment. It is effective against fleas, flea larvae, lungworm, roundworm, hookworm, whipworm and heartworm. Can also be used to treat sarcoptic mange, ear mites, demodex mites, biting lice and as part of a treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis (FAD).

Advocate 80 Spot-On is a convenient and easy-to-use solution that is applied to the skin between the cat's shoulder blades once a month. It is safe for cats of 4Kg or above. However, it is important to consult a veterinarian before using any medication on your pet.

Advocate 80 Spot-On contains two active ingredients: Imidacloprid and Moxidectin. It is the presence of Moxidectin in the formula which differentiates this product from Advocate Spot-on  (which contains only Imidacloprid) and triggers the requirement for a prescription.

Imidacloprid is a potent insecticide that works by targeting the nervous system of fleas and killing them upon contact. It also has some repellent activity, preventing new flea infestations from developing.

Moxidectin is an antiparasitic drug that is effective against heartworms, roundworms, and hookworms. It works by interfering with the nervous system of these parasites and causing paralysis, eventually leading to their death.
